When is the best time to start tutoring online?

Parents and students see the first grades and gaps of the new school year. This is the biggest, most predictable wave of requests all year, happening right now.
January–February
Before mock exams and mid-year grades
Second wave: final-year students push before mock matura exams, everyone else catches up after mid-year report cards.
April–May
The final push before matura and 8th-grade exams
Third and most intense wave: the last weeks before real exams, when students need help most urgently.
Why enter before the wave, not during it
When a wave of requests starts, students choose from profiles that are already visible, complete, and carry first reviews. A tutor starting exactly at that moment has none of those trust signals yet, right when competition is sharpest. Starting a few weeks earlier gives you time to complete your profile and run your first lessons before demand peaks.

Is it worth starting mid-year, not just in September?
Yes: each of the three peaks (September, January, April–May) is a good moment to start. The difference is that joining BEFORE a peak means your profile is already complete and visible when the wave of requests actually arrives. Joining during the wave means starting from zero exactly when other tutors already have their first reviews.
When is competition among new tutors lowest?
In the months between peaks (November, March, summer), fewer new tutors register, but fewer students are actively searching too. Registering just BEFORE a peak (like now, before September) combines low current competition with rising demand ahead.
How long does it actually take to get a complete profile live?

To appear on the public list, a profile needs every condition met at once: a complete profile (subject, description, price), a connected and verified Stripe account, a verified email, a profile photo, and real calendar availability with at least one 60-minute slot.
