Online tutoring for children
From which grade lessons over the internet make sense, what such a lesson looks like, what to check before the first meeting and how to follow your child’s progress in the parent panel.
AI illustrationIn short
- Online tutoring for a child makes sense from grade 4 of primary school. For younger children the lesson is shorter and with a parent nearby.
- The lesson takes place in your browser: video, whiteboard, chat. A parent can watch the lesson at any moment.
- The parent panel shows the next lesson, attendance, a note after every lesson and the state of the package for each child.
- The price of a lesson in a package: 64 to 85 PLN for 60 minutes. Payment only after you choose a specific tutor.
From which grade online tutoring makes sense
It is not about the age on the birth certificate but whether your child can keep their attention on a screen and cope with a whiteboard. As a rough guide it looks like this.
Early primary school
Grades 1 to 3
An online lesson is possible, but shorter (25 to 35 minutes) and with a parent nearby. Most often: learning to read, the multiplication table, a first contact with English. A regular tutor and a good relationship matter, not the number of hours.Older primary school
Grades 4 to 8
Here online tutoring works with no reservations. The child runs the lesson on the whiteboard independently. Typical goals: catching up in maths, preparing for the eighth-grade exam, improving grades in a specific subject.Secondary school
High school and technical school
Usually the most effective form. Online lets you choose a tutor with experience in a given matura subject, whichever city they are in. Goals: the basic and extended matura, keeping up your average, olympiads.
What an online lesson for a child looks like
Everything in your browser
Video, a shared whiteboard, chat and materials. Nothing to install, a laptop or a tablet and an internet connection are enough.A parent can watch
You can sit next to your child at any time and watch the lesson. There are no closed rooms.A note after every lesson
The tutor writes down what you covered and how your child worked. You can see whether learning is moving forward.
The parent panel for tutoring: what it gives you
Once a tutor is matched, the parent gets a panel in which they see their child’s whole learning in one place. One account handles several children.

Each child can have a separate account with points and educational games. This is not required.
Your child’s safety
A parent makes one serious decision: whether to trust a stranger who stays with their child during a lesson. That is why we describe concretely what verification on Sprelli means.
- The Verified badge means an identity document and confirmation of qualifications that an administrator has approved.
- Communication and lessons take place through the platform. Your child’s chat with the tutor is separate from the parent’s chat.

How to choose a tutor for your child
On Sprelli you do not browse a list of hundreds of profiles. You describe what your child needs, and tutors of that subject respond to your request. You get several candidates and you choose. Before you do, check:
- A profile photo with a visible face, not an avatar.
- The Verified badge: an identity document and confirmation of qualifications that an administrator has approved.
- Reviews from other parents and students, ideally with specifics about how the tutor runs lessons.
- Clearly described experience with your child’s age group, not just a list of subjects.
Let’s start with one question
What does your child need? You describe the goal, tutors respond to you, you choose. Payment comes only after you choose.
